38. Excessive lengths of cords/hoses are to be contained in a roll-up type device mounted up and out of the way for normal use, so as not to create a work hazard. Example, Teach Pendant cord for a robot or gantry.

39. Communication device connections are to be RJ-45 type to allow all machines to be connected to a plant-wide financial information system and placed within two feet of the CNC control monitor.

40. Heavy machine guards/shields are to be provided with lifting eyes or tapped holes for lifting eyes to facilitate easy removal for repairs.

41. All machines with oil reservoirs to be equipped with either sight glasses and/or level indicators of some type.

42. Heavy belt/chain guards are to be hinged to facilitate quick change of belts and chains.

43. Identification plaques are to be permanently attached to the machine, no tape of any type allowed.

44. Excess cable lengths will be allowed up to 12 in. maximum in electrical cabinets.

45. All machine safety/lube placards to be mounted on the back of machines.

46. The machine supplier is to provide an FMEA for their machine and related support equipment.
